  1. Afton Jones: she’s the Moxie Writer
  2. a person who can be hired to write blog posts
  3. me

I write stuff for people.

There’s a craving for words in my soul. So instead of mooning over it, I’m following my passion with 7 years blogging and 2 years freelance writing experience.

If the pen is mightier than the sword, than I’ve got the powah!

You can start singing that Jem and the Holograms song now.

I got my start writing a blog about my dog.

Pretty cute, huh? Pippin has passed on now, but I will always credit him with being the buddy who got me into blogging.

No, I’m not going to link you to it. It’s old history, man.

But it did give me a head start in WordPress and dealing with all that comes with running a WordPress blog. It also sent me down the road of handling social media with a blog (hey, who doesn’t want to follow an adorable dog on Twitter?).

I wanted to write fiction, but turns out I’m a lot better at researching than making up stuff.

I still like fiction, but I love my facts too. Putting together a reality-based and educational article is a thrill in it’s own right.

My interest in fiction writing pulls me towards storytelling of all forms and weaving a relatable image of what I want to say. Why write something as dry as moldy bread if you can write it with the flavor of a fresh cupcake?

I really like cupcakes.

I have more interests than is probably healthy.

This has almost nothing to do with what I'm talking about here. But it's adorable and it has a puppy and tea so I'm gonna put it here.

We’d be here a long time if I listed everything that I’ve tried my hand at over the years. Or even worse, has sent me down a rabbit hole and eaten up more of my free time than I’d care to admit. What can I say? The world is just too cool to stop learning about it.

The upside is I have a lot of topics I like to write about. The downside is I have to make sure not to mix my jargon when I talk to people.

“Woah, that grassfed heifer must have leveled up this season! She’s as slick as the parallax effect!”

Heh.

If this all sounds cool to you, hire me!
